Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture’s much awaited shoot ’em up, Sine Mora is all geared up to be launched exclusively for the Xbox 360 as an Xbox Live Arcade title on March 21, 2012. While Digital Reality is known for last year’s SkyDrift title, Grasshopper Manufacture is the studio behind Shadows of the Damned and the upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw.
This new offering from the developers is claimed to cater for all audiences. It has supposedly been infused with varied levels of challenge. Moreover, this dieselpunk shoot ’em up apparently looks to provide gamers with a unique take on the genre, wherein time is the ultimate factor. It is aimed at both hardcore as well as casual gamers, and is said to comprise classic shooter sensibilities and next-gen presentation.
The game comes equipped with a story mode and an arcade mode. It features more than sixty weapon combinations and includes a soundtrack scored by Akira Yamaoka who has worked on a number of Silent Hill video games. Online leaderboards have also been confirmed to form a part of this March release.
The title’s story revolves around Ronotra Kross, a serial revenge killer who’s blackmailing a young girl in order to smuggle military grade aibots. It transpires on a distinct planet, which is guarded by a floating fortress named Siriad. Kross’ evil intentions force Pytel, the Emperor’s most talented profiler, to try and put an end to all of Kross’ cruelty.
Upon its release on March 21, Sine Mora will be priced on Xbox Live at 1200 Microsoft Points.
