Retailers in the European region are now offering the Street Fighter X Tekken Special Edition that will proffer gamers with a number of different items along with the much anticipated title. Up for pre-order currently, this version of the fighting game will be made available in limited quantities, so those who wish to grab hold of their copies must reserve them as soon as possible.
A post on the Capcom Europe blog has revealed this new edition, while also mentioning the names of the retailers that will be offering it. Apart from a copy of the title, the special edition is set to include an arcade cabinet money box and a prequel comic as well as a concept art book by Udon Comics. Moreover, this version also kicks in a total of forty five Gem power-ups, to provide gamers with an edge over their opponents.
As we mentioned in our preview of SFxT, these Gems are a new gameplay addition and are meant to offer stat boosts in the middle of intense fights. Furthermore, another fresh element that makes its way into the title is the Pandora mode. This trait allows players to sacrifice their characters in order to provide different stat boosts to other fighters. And then there’s the Scramble Battle mode which sets up online or offline fights for up to four separate players.
Gamestation, Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, The Hut and Shopto.net as well as a number of independent retailers are currently taking pre-orders for the Street fighter X Tekken Special Edition. It can be purchased for both, the PS3 and Xbox 360 at a price of 44.77 GBP (approx. Rs. 3,470) each.
