Folks who are busy shooting fraudulent superheroes and bad guys in Monolith’s latest offering can now download for themselves a free Gotham City Impostors DLC through Xbox Live. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have also gone on to reveal that this content will be dished out for the PS3 and PC versions of the game in the near future.
This new pack is the first piece of downloadable content to hit the title after it received its much delayed release on February 8, 2012. The pack will introduce a number of matchmaking fixes, the most prominent amongst them being the join-in-progress functionality, which will allow gamers to jump into ongoing matches without having to wait for being inducted into new battles.
Moreover, the DLC will also infuse the title with new maps, weapons and gadgets. A fresh 25th Floor map will be seen making it way into the game, while the new weapons that form a part of the DLC are named Kingmaker and Falcon Blade. The Toxic Gas Support Item and a new Fun Fact would also be made available to players.
This first-person shooter was released as a digital download for the multiple platforms last month. It features 6 vs. 6 matches that can be fought in by gamers using customizable characters, who may choose to dress like either Batman or the Joker.
While the Gotham City Impostors DLC goes for free on Xbox Live, those who wish to purchase the game will be needed to spend 1200 Microsoft Points to download their copy. For the PS3 and PC, it sells at 11.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 590).
