Peter David is one of the best known and most renowned comic book authors of all time. He has contributed to many titles including Aquaman, Spider-Man, Supergirl, Wolverine and Star Trek as well as The Incredible Hulk. Now Epic Games and Microsoft Game Studios have announced that the story of the upcoming side-scrolling game Shadow Complex is the work of Peter David.
David will be present to sign autographs at the Xbox 360 booth on Friday July 25, 2009 at the Comic-Con in San Diego, which runs from July 24, to July 27, 2009. The original story of Shadow Complex follows along similar lines as the 2006 Orson Scott Card novel, Empire, and takes players deep into the darkest corners of government conspiracy.
Shadow Complex has won many ‘Best of E3’ awards and features a mix of modern gameplay and classic side scrolling action-adventure elements. The game is powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 and has players collecting power ups while discovering new abilities and evolving their character.
Shadow Complex is developed by Epic’s Chair Entertainment studio and published by Microsoft Game Studios. The game is scheduled to be released on August 19, 2009 exclusively on the Xbox Live Arcade and will cost 1200 Microsoft Points or 15 USD (approx. Rs. 730).
