One year ago, that is in August 2007, we had reported that Duke Nukem 3D could find its way to the Xbox Live Arcade. Apparently George Broussard from 3D Realms had left comments on a gaming news website indicating that they had spoken to Microsoft about Duke Nukem 3D for XBLA and were waiting for them to give a go ahead.
Now video games blog Joystiq is reporting that Duke Nukem 3D will soon be releasing on the Xbox Live Arcade. In an interview, Jason Ing, who is the Xbox representative told them that Duke Nukem 3D is expected to be out sometime in September apparently and the shooter has also passed certification.
Duke Nukem 3D for the XBLA features minimal graphical enhancements, something similar to what they did for Doom. Apparently the game will have 200 gamerpoints worth of Achievements. There is no word about the exact release date of Duke Nukem 3D for the Xbox Live Arcade.
