The much-awaited Crusader Kings II title from Paradox Interactive has finally made its way onto the gaming terrain. This offering is noted to be the sequel to the RTS Crusader Kings which released nearly a decade ago. Players will be transported back in time to Medieval Europe, where they can explore the period between the 11th and 15th century.
As the company suggests, the epic title is infused with an intense tactical and strategic depth. In this game, the choices players make will mirror their personal morality. They can either force their supremacy on their subjects by oppressing the population and keeping them in fear, or rule the kingdom with benevolence and gain respect. Then there is also the option of earning power and wealth through the medium of marriage. It all depends on how strategy enthusiasts like to reign supreme.
The newly released game has been created by the same development team that was responsible for the Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron series. The title requires players to be alert, keep their alliances and friends close and be ready to enter into battle if and when the need arises. Paradox Interactive further states that this entrant would take the franchise to a whole new level.
Through the game, PC owners will be tasked with taking control and managing a great Christian Dynasty of the West. They can also rule over the entire European continent through whichever means suit them best. Furthermore, there are reportedly five levels of authority namely Counts/Earls, Kings, Dukes, Emperors and Barons to take advantage of, with the last group being unplayable.
The Crusader Kings II price reads at 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,969) and it is now available at select retail and major distribution platforms.
