Total War: Shogun 2 Receives Dragon War Battle Pack

Total War: Shogun 2 has been infused with yet another piece of DLC which is titled Dragon War Battle Pack, and is live for PC. This pack contains six consecutively-played legendary battles from the Boshin War that were earlier available only with the Fall of The Samurai expansion of the game.

This new DLC for the much appreciated title from The Creative Assembly is aimed at giving gamers a taste of the modern combat which formed part of the Fall of The Samurai expansion. Moreover, players will also receive access to a number of armaments and vehicles of the Boshin War. These include the Gatling Gun, the Armstrong Gun, the Ironclad and the Torpedo Boat.

Gamers will be required to command féted warrior Saigo Takamori and his Imperial army, as they wield weapons of the late 1800s and fight against the armies of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Assuming control of the Japanese territory will give them a chance to relive the War of the Year of the Dragon. Furthermore, those who purchase this DLC will be able to buy the Fall of the Samurai expansion at a discounted rate in the future.

Total War: Shogun 2 was released exclusively for PC in March 2011 along with single-player as well as multiplayer gameplay. This RTS game transpires in a 16th-century Japan setting and focuses on turn-based strategy and real-time tactics gameplay. Its first DLC came in June last year in the form of The Ikko-Ikki Clan Pack, following which, a number of other add-ons were released.
