Sword of the Stars is a turn-based strategy space 4X game fashioned by Kerberos Productions. Now the company along with Paradox Interactive has finally released into the gaming terrain Sword of the Stars: Complete Collection.
The latest offering comprises of the original Sword of Stars game and its expansions namely A Murder Crows, Born of Blood and Argos Naval Yard. There is also a new scenario to look forward to with the newly released title. The events of the game take place in the year 2405 where players take on the role of any one of the four galactic races.
They can fashion their own ships with three size classes and access more than 40 weapons plucked right out from six different weapon groups. Gamers can research over 150 distinct technologies and opt from various single-player scenario campaigns and up to eight player multiplayer.
Born of Blood is the first expansion of Sword of the Stars. It comprises of the Zuul Slavers as well as more than 90 new ship sections and the Tunnel Drive system. The game is packed with new game features such as trade routes, slavery and diplomatic communications. Players can also take advantage of 15 more weapons, 25 additional technologies and new ship sections which can be employed with the original four races as well as new scenarios, galactic encounters and maps.
A Murder of Crows brings to the forefront a sixth new race dubbed as The Morrigi complete with loads of features. These include 27 additional technologies and ‘Grav Flock’ Drive System as well as 15 more weapons along with construction ships, spy ships, orbital stations and police cutters.
