Liquid Comics Titles come to Sony PSP

Liquid Comics owns a wide array of comic book libraries which are based upon Indian characters fashioned by Indian creators themselves. The company has now revealed that many of its Indian comic book titles are being unfurled in digital formats for the Sony PSP platform. Some of these titles include Ramayan 3392 AD, Devi, The Sadhu, Snake Woman and Beyond.

Snakewoman Devi

Ramayan 3392 AD takes place in a post-apocalyptic world and is noted to be a futuristic re-imagining of the Indian epic. Princes Rama and Lakshman are seen taking on hoards of Nark led by the evil Ravan. These honorable brothers are humanity’s last spark of hope as they battle the forces of darkness.

The title Devi is created by filmmaker Shekhar Kapur of Elizabeth and Golden Age fame. The story follows the events of Tara Mehta who is a young woman located in the futuristic Asian city of Sitapur. As the story reveals, the unsuspecting Devi is to become the centre of a divine battle that takes place between the demon Lord Bala and Gods of Light.

The Sadhu tells the story of a British soldier named James Jenson whose family has been murdered. He is trained in the supernatural arts by the Sadhus and must now choose whether to inflict these powers onto the people responsible for his loss or for inner peace as intended by the Indian mystics.

Snake Woman is also fashioned by Shekhar Kapur and features Jessica Peterson who transforms into a vicious Snakewoman. Her mission is to avenge the desecration of a Naga temple brought about by foreigners. She must now face the horrid monster within her while avoiding the clutches of a mysterious organization called as ‘The 68’.

Created by the acclaimed author Deepak Chopra, Beyond is all about Michael Morton, a businessman. He goes on vacation to India with his wife, Anna and son, Ty where unexpected things begin to take place. Anna disappears into a small store and vanishes without a trace. Michael and Ty then embark on a journey packed with metaphysical as well as physical danger in order to reunite with Anna.

Every week, Liquid Comics plans to release new comic books via PlayStation tagged with a price tag of $1.99 (approx. Rs.93) per issue.
