EA Sports UEFA Euro 2012 Announced

What is supposed to be the only official licensed video game of the June bound 2012 European Football Championship, was announced yesterday in the form of EA Sports UEFA Euro 2012. This title is actually a paid digital expansion pack for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions of last year’s FIFA 12, and is scheduled to be made available on April 25, 2012.

The game will look to proffer players with the drama and excitement of the official tournament. All fifty three of the UEFA member national teams will be available to play along with eight official stadiums of the tournament. Fans will even be able to compete online to make their way through the group stages, knockout rounds, and finally strive for a chance to win the competition. A new mode will form a part of EA Sports UEFA Euro 2012. Dubbed the Expedition Mode, it allows fans to build, manage and compete with a customized team against other European nations. They will be able to choose their favorite European player or FIFA 12 Virtual Pro so as to captain their customized team and win matches to earn new players.

EA Sports UEFA Euro 2012 will be released as a downloadable expansion for FIFA 12 on April 25. Its PS3 version will sell at 15.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 1,305), its Xbox 360 edition will go for 1800 Microsoft Points, and the expansion’s PC copies will cost 2500 FIFA Points.
