The Enhanced Edition (as it’s called) of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings has hit gold status for the Xbox 360, confirmed Namco Bandai Partners S.A.S. and CD Projekt RED studio yesterday. Apart from an Xbox 360 copy of this PC title, the Enhanced Edition also comprises other goodies like a world map, a soundtrack audio CD and a quest handbook. The game was originally released for PC in May, 2011, and has received quite some appreciation for its action RPG offerings. It acts as a sequel to The Witcher, which was launched for PC back in 2007.

Olivier Comte, Senior Vice President, Namco Bandai Partners S.A.S., shared “We are very pleased that The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings Enhanced Edition for Xbox 360 is in our spring portfolio. The game is truly a masterpiece and we are excited to bring the complex and non-linear story of Geralt of Rivia to console players.”

Over forty hours of non-linear gameplay is said to be on offer with the game. Taking place in a dark fantasy setting, it allows players to take control of the title’s storyline and develop it by making a series of choices. Sixteen different endings supposedly form part of this action RPG.

The Enhanced Edition of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings can be pre-ordered through a number of retailers currently at a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,080).
