BioShock 2 Out Now for Mac

Even as the anticipation surrounding its successor keeps soaring up, BioShock 2 is still set to keep Mac gamers busy with its much appreciated first-person shooter offerings. Developed by a large team comprising of 2K Marin, 2K Australia, 2K China and Digital Extremes, this game was released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in February, 2010.

It has landed on Mac after a series of delays, with its previous release window having been January, 2012. Feral Interactive has ported this title to the new platform. It also comprises an entirely separate multiplayer game named The Fall of Rapture. This mode places gamers in the shoes of a mutated test subject for the plasmid manufacturer Sinclair Solutions. They will then be spawned into the civil war which had torn the city of Rapture apart.

Feral has also revealed the minimum system requirements for the title. A 2GHz Mac will be needed along with at least 4GB of RAM. This game will only run on Mac OS X 10.7.2 or later, and will require a minimum of 256MB graphics memory. Moreover, graphics cards like ATI X1xxx series, ATI 2xxx series, NVIDIA 9400, NVIDIA 7xxx series and Intel GMA series will not be supported.

A sequel to the iconic BioShock, this game takes players back into the underwater dystopia of Rapture. The story transpires eight years after the first title, and leads gamers through a variety of environments filled with unusual beings and situations.
