The first piece of downloadable content for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is all geared up to launch via PSN, Xbox Live and Steam on December 4, 2012. Dubbed the Revert Pack, this DLC will bring to the game three new levels, four playable characters and a brand new song from Metallica. It will be priced on Xbox Live at 400 Microsoft Points, while its cost on PSN and Steam has been marked by Activision at 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 275). Additionally, a free update to the game will introduce to it the revert ability from THPS 3.

As far as the new levels are concerned, the three of them are dubbed Airport, Los Angeles and Canada. These are revamped versions of the original ones featured in THPS 3 which was released for the Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation in 2001. This game, in the following year, also made its way to platforms like the Nintendo 64, Xbox, PC and Game Boy Advance. It is often cited as one of the highest rated PS2 games of all time.

Along with the new levels, skateboarding legends Steve Caballero and Geoff Rowley will also be featured in the DLC as playable characters along with the likes of James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo from Metallica. Moreover, adding to the title’s soundtrack, the band’s ”˜All Nightmare Long’ track will be infused in the add-on as well.

The new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD DLC will also be accompanied by a patch, which will be launched on its release date. This update will grant the game the revert ability that would make way for ever longer combos. Originally, the ability was only supposed to be limited to the three new levels from the Revert Pack, but developer Robomodo has decided to make it available for each of the original levels that form part of the game, and that too, for free.

Released earlier this year, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD bundles much loved levels from past games in the series, and overhauls them with high-definition treatment. It is available to download now for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Its Revert Pack DLC will be coming out on December 4.
