In the first half of this month, we reported about the oncoming of the Masters event in the Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchise. EA Sports has now roped in golfer Rhys Davies as the brand ambassador for this new title dubbed Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters. With this agreement, the golfing ace will be seen sporting the famous logo on his shirt across all competitions around the year.
“I’m delighted to be appearing in the new game and especially proud to be the first European Tour golf brand ambassador for EA Sports,” beamed Rhys Davies, Welsh Golf Pro. “It’s every golfer’s dream to be immortalised in a video game and I can’t wait to compete against my virtual character. As a tour professional, I am privileged to experience some of the world’s best golf courses, many of which are featured in the game. I look forward to getting some vital practice on these courses in the game before tackling them for real!”
As reported previously, this new installment in the series will feature the rich and luscious golf course of Augusta National. In this game, players can show off their putting skills for grabbing what has been touted as the most sought-after prize, the Green Jacket. This authentically designed environment is also expected to underscore a simulating professional league as gamers progress in the tournament.

Compatible with the PlayStation Move controller, this chapter will infuse an elevated sense of realism into gameplay. It has also been crafted to unfold acclaimed Championship courses such as TPC San Antonia, Pebble Beach Golf Links, St Andrews Links and the Australian Royal Melbourne Golf Club for gamers.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters has been scheduled to release in Europe on April 1, 2011 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
