The latest game mode enables gamers to acquire up to nine types of cards via platinum, gold, silver and bronze virtual packs. They can conduct loads of customizations as they can opt from uniforms and team playbook. Players earn coins depending on their on-field performance. With these new coins, they can purchase new cards or card packs. New cards can also be achieved via the auction block or by buying card packs through the in-game store.
Players can gather cards that are from the same pro and college team in order to get that on-field chemistry boost. They can place their team over the top by collecting rare, legendary player cards like the 1995 Packers Brett Favre player cards and the 1999 Vikings Randy Moss. They can back up Brett with his very own 2009 Vikings player card. The ultimate team can be formulated via weekly online deals as well.
Players can opt for their starting defense, offense and special teams or simply let the mode do it on their behalf. The final team can then be put up against either human opponents or CPU. Gamers can also espy just how their team does on the online leaderboards.
