Earlier this year we revealed that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 was expected to unleash this summer. More recently it was reported that the sports title would feature the Ryder Cup. Now the game is back in the news as EA Sports brings out a new commercial as well as a series of online videos for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11.
The latest offerings throw light on two vital improvements namely team golf and the Ryder Cup. The creative extensions feature includes various golf professionals such as Tiger Woods, Ian Poulter, Edoardo Molinari and Rickie Fowler. The Welcome to Team Golf commercial begins with the U.S. Ryder Cup team making their way onto the golf course with fireworks, crowds and the European team jeering them.
When each team is finished with the tee off, the US team is seen listening closely to the advice of their captain who is played by NFL Hall of Fame coach Mike Ditka. Focus is then shifted to the crucial win made by Tiger Woods which in turn gives way to jets flying overhead, a cheering crowd and a marching band. Also featured in the advertisement is gameplay footage plucked right out from Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11.
The series of online videos dubbed as ‘Team Sports Meets Golf’ includes Tiger Woods and other renowned golf players trying to take shots at different locations such as hockey, soccer, curling, football and basketball. All these new offerings have already made their way to the EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 Facebook page. The spot is scheduled to unveil nationally on June 6, 2010 during the NBA Finals on ABC while the commercial and other ads will unfurl on different sports and gaming websites starting today.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 is developed by EA Tiburon and is expected to hit the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and iPhone platforms soon. The exact dates and pricing details are still unclear.
