Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online Open Beta coming, PGA Tour 11 Due in Summer

Whatever may be happening off the golf course, in the world of video games, Tiger Woods PGA Tour is a strong franchise. Now Electronic Arts has announced the upcoming product line-up for the Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchise. And it includes the launch of Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online open beta and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 for a host of consoles this Summer.

Golf enthusiasts the world over can get a free preview of Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online. They can also invite others to join the open beta via Facebook. Developed by EA Tiburon, Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online is the most accessible, authentic and feature-packed gold video game, which is available via a web browser. No installation, no disc and no additional peripherals are needed to enjoy this title. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and iPhone platforms.

The free preview open beta of Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online is now available and has a Facebook Connect feature, as well as realistic wind effects and a Pro Shop in which you can purchase upgraded equipment with your in-game earnings. The game also features Golfer Progression, a kind of career mode, and The Cut Line, an extra challenge which has an additional in-game experience as a reward.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online will be offered starting in early 2010, though a multi-tiered subscription, while Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 will be made available in the Summer for the Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, and iPhone platforms.
