NBA 2K10 crosses 2 million units sales mark

NBA 2K10 was lately in the news for unfurling onto the Nintendo Wii. The game dribbled its way into stores back in October all over the globe. Now 2K Sports announces that the popular title NBA 2K10 has sailed passed the 2 million units sales. There seems to be a 60% increase in sales numbers when pitted against the same time period of NBA 2K9.

“We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished this year with NBA 2K10, and this milestone is another fantastic reason to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the NBA 2K franchise. We would like to thank all of our loyal fans for their dedicated support and look forward to the continued success of this title,” explained Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K.

The latest sports game includes an all-new My Player career mode and NBA Today feature. The next iteration of the franchise is set to be developed by the Visual Concepts team along with NBA 2K gameplay producer, Mike Wang.

Wang commented, “It feels good to be back home with my 2K Sports family. Being able to work on the greatest basketball game in the world has always been paramount for me, and now having that opportunity again is a blessing.”

NBA 2K10 offers gamers with the most feature-rich simulation experience which can be espied in its gameplay, presentation, graphics and online features. The NBA Today inclusion provides real world matchups, stats and news being automatically streamed to the title. This keeps the overlays and commentary up to date with all the latest happenings in the world of NBA.

NBA 2K10 bears an E rating by ESRB and can be acquired for the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 for a price of $39.99 (approx. Rs.1,839). The PSP and PS2 versions are priced at $19.99 (approx. Rs.935) while the Windows PC version can be acquired for $29.99 (approx. Rs.1,379).
