Earlier we reported that just like the cover for NBA 2K10, the cover for Major League baseball 2K10 would be decided by a fan vote. Well, now 2K Sports has announced the results of the national voting contest. The cover of Major League Baseball 2K10 will have Evan Longoria making a defensive play with his Golden Glove ability, and is set against a classic silver backdrop. The cover chosen drew in 35 percent of the total votes.
“Throughout my career, I’ve taken great pride in my fielding and defensive ability,” Evan Longoria remarked. “I’m pumped about the final cover and sincerely appreciate all the dedicated fans who took time to weigh in on their favorite image for Major League Baseball 2K10.”
Making his debut in 2008, Longoria was named to the American League All Star team in each of his first two MLB seasons. He was also named the 2008 American League Rookie of the Year. Last month he won a Golden Glove Award and a Silver Slugger Award.
Major League Baseball 2K10 is developed by Visual Concepts, a 2K Sports studio, and will be available in the spring of 2010. The game will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PS2, Wii, PSP and DS.
