Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational Gets Updated with New Modes

One of the PS Vita’s many launch titles, Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational now has new modes for gamers to jump into. These additions come to the game in the form of its latest free update which can be downloaded by logging into PSN with the Vita.

With the new Stroke Mode, head-to-head competition for two players will be made available online. The player with the best results at the end of a round will win. Another fresh feature is the Match Mode which too proffers head-to-head competition for two players, but with slightly different winning requirements. In this mode, the first competitor to get to 3UP status during a round will be declared as the winner. Options for chatting with opponents will be available in both these modes.

“Whereas before you could only play in Real Mode tournaments that were open to all, now you can create private tournaments for you and up to seven friends, as well as private rooms in the online lobby space. Out on the course, you’ll be able to see your opponent’s ball after each shot, and between holes you can also use text chat to communicate with your friends, on the scorecard screen,” said Tsubasa Inaba, Senior Producer, International Software Development, on the official PlayStation blog.

Following this update, players will start getting rated between G0 (strong) to G4 (novice) depending on their online performances. These ratings will operate dynamically, making way for ranked matches online. In addition, the Daily Tournaments mode has also been altered; it will now feature one game per day, as opposed to the previous number – three games.

The new update for Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational is live now on PSN and can be downloaded for free by gamers on their PS Vita systems.
