Crafted by series creator Hideo Kojima, this direct sequel to the Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater title follows the story of special ops expert Snake a.k.a. Big Boss and is set in 1974 towards the end of the cold war. The plotline flows along an entirely new story written by Kojima and confronts players with hostile scenarios while unfolding a conspiracy for world dominion.

“The Metal Gear Solid series is heading into exciting new areas, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker unites the series’ key gameplay elements with even more tactical possibilities,” trilled Hideo Kojima, Head of Kojima Productions and creator of the Metal Gear Solid series. “We look forward to recruiting PSP users to Snake’s latest mission, as the Metal Gear Solid series returns in a guise that will constantly surprise the player.”

The game features remarkable visuals, new characters and reveals more information about enemies as well as allies. The two game playing options extended to players include solo operations mode and online multi-player CO-OPS mode. Its multi-player mode allows for certain gameplay advances that enable players to share munitions, administer medical help to colleagues or provide cover for each other using the Snake formation to cover blind spots.

Konami has tagged their new Metal Gear Solid at $39.99 (approx. Rs.1,817). The company will also launch the Limited Edition Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PSP Entertainment Pack on the same day as this stand-alone game is released in the U.S.
