Monster Hunter is the extremely popular video game franchise from Japanese developer and publisher Capcom, in which players set out on a journey to slay all sorts of monstrous beings to collect things such as bones, hides and more. Recently there has even been a PSP title in the series called Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and a Wii game titled Monster Hunter Tri.
The PSP version allowed players to have, along with them, a feline companion. Now gaming blog Kotaku is reporting that Capcom has announced a Monster Hunter spin-off title which stars the game’s cats. Apparently this announcement came at a Capcom event in Tokyo and will be centered around the cats or airu as they are known in the game.
The gaming blog pegs the new game’s name as ‘Mon Han Nikki Poka Poka Airu Mura’. Also apparently the new game will be for the PSP and will not be a shooting game. Details on the game at this point are very hard to come by.
