Game Arts’ Lunar RPG series has been around since 1992 and the first game Lunar: The Silver Star was remade for the Sega Saturn console and later ported to the Sony PlayStation. Now 1UP reports that the May 15, 2009 issue of Famitsu magazine reveals a remake of that first game in the Lunar series for the PSP, titled Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star.

The game’s graphics and interface are apparently completely redone, to keep up with the twenty-first century standards. The view will be isometric and the game will feature rich environments and characters drawn by hand. Harmony of Silver Star will not be merely a port, but will feature re-mastered music, new events and an extended back story.
The game is apparently being developed by Game Arts themselves and is being published by Gung Ho Works. Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star will be releasing for the Sony PSP this fall in Japan, while no prices are known. Also, no US or European release dates or prices have been announced.
