God of War 3 Remastered is coming to the PS4

Sony is currently celebrating 10 years of the GoW franchise, and it has decided to mark this milestone by releasing God of War 3 Remastered for the PS4. This version of the game will feature updated graphics of course, and will be released for the console on July 15 in North America and on July 17 in Europe. Sony Santa Monica hasn’t yet revealed who is developing this title; but it doesn’t matter much since it’s only a remastered version. The studio has however dropped a hint about a completely new game from the series.

God of War 3 Remastered

God of War 3 Remastered will be displayed in 1080p full HD resolution on the PS4, but there’s no official confirmation on whether it will run at 60fps or not. The original PS3 offering ran pretty smoothly at the same framerate; so we’re guessing the developers shouldn’t find it hard to achieve this feat. Usually, such remastered versions also ship with additional content, but Sony has stayed mum on any details regarding the matter.

God of War 3 was released for the PS3 back in the year 2010, and had managed to generate extremely positive reviews for its hack and slash offerings. It was the fifth main instalment to the series, while it was seventh, and last chronologically. Although, nothing official has been said about a new entry to the series, one of those in charge of the franchise has hinted that there may be a reboot in store for us.
