Resident Evil 6 headed to PS4 and Xbox One, suggests report

Capcom launched Resident Evil 6 in 2012, back when there was no trace of the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Now that the consoles are out into the market though, the company it seems is developing ports of the game for these machines.

Proof of this has been spotted on the Korean Game Ratings Board where both the versions of Resident Evil 6 have been mentioned. If we do a little throwback, we also realize that the existence of the original title too had been given away by the same source around three years ago.

As pointed out by Eurogamer, it is still unclear whether or not this title will be a straight port or an enhanced remaster, but the chances of the latter happening are more according to us. Resident Evil 6 was originally released by Capcom for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 back in October 2012, while its launch for PC took place in March the following year.

Contrary to classic offerings from the much loved series, this one took a more action-oriented approach with its gameplay. Though it incorporated the series’ trademark survival horror elements, it was far from something Resident Evil veterans were used to playing.

The story of this title is told from the perspectives of Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Jake Muller and Ada Wong. They are all forced to pursue the source of a huge bio-terrorist attack with a newly developed C-virus in cities across the world.

With Resident Evil 6 now evidently being prepped up for a PS4 and Xbox One release, we wonder what extra additions Capcom will be making to these new versions.
