Sony has marked the upcoming holiday season by giving the PS4 a price cut, but this drop in the console’s retail value only applies to two of its bundles that are available in the US. It will be a limited time deal which is supposed to last from December 6 to December 19.
Sony has announced that the Star Wars Battlefront Standard Edition PS4 bundle and the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection PS4 bundle will each be made available at an attractive $299.99 during this period. These packages contain 500GB versions of the console, single DualShock 4 controllers and the games mentioned in their names.
As an added bonus, the Star Wars Battlefront Standard Edition PS4 bundle even offers four classic Star Wars games to its buyers. These include Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars Bounty Hunter.
There’s a benefit attached to the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection PS4 bundle as well. All those who purchase it will get exclusive access to the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Beta which will be held between December 4 and December 13.
In other news related to the Sony console, it has come to light that the company has unlocked a new core on the system’s CPU for developers to exploit. Out of the eight cores available on its CPU, only six were accessible for game-makers prior to this. That has changed now even as the seventh one can also be exploited by them in order to improve the performance of their offerings.
