The upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game has been blessed with a PS3 bundle by Sony which is expected to release it on April 29. This package can be pre-ordered through Walmart now at 269 USD (approx. Rs 16,200), and it seems like it’s meant only for residents of North America. This game which is based on the upcoming movie of the same name will also be hitting shelves on April 29.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 bundle brings with it a 500GB version of the newest PS3 console as well as a copy of the game. Moreover, it also contains access to the first movie from the series (released in 2012) through Vudu. Developed by Beenox, this game is supposed to contain its own story which will take place outside of the events that will be portrayed in the flick. Apart from the PS3, it is slated to arrive for the PS4, Wii U, PC, Xbox 360, 3DS as well as Android and iOS platforms.
There’s an Xbox One version under development as well, but it has been delayed indefinitely by publisher Activision without mentioning a reason for the same. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 kicks in open world gameplay taking place in New York City. It will feature a variety of different villains from the Marvel universe including Kraven the Hunter, Kingpin, Black Cat, Green Goblin, Venom and more.
