Update: Sony has gone official on the matter and has revealed all the details regarding The Last of Us: Remastered. It will be sold at 59.99 USD (approx. Rs 3,600), and will come equipped with the Left Behind campaign, the Abandoned Territories pack and the Reclaimed Territories pack. As for the game itself, this PS4 version will run at 1080p resolution and will grab higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, upgraded textures and other graphical improvements. There’s no release date as yet, but it’s supposed to hit Sony’s next-gen console during this summer.

Nothing official has been said by Sony about this version of the game ever since an employee from its Turkish operations revealed its existence back in March. That’s why we don’t have many details with us right now. But as it seems, The Last of Us will be taking a similar path to what Tomb Raider had taken with its next-gen incarnation. The Definitive Edition of this Lara Croft-starrer featured overly detailed graphics as well as all its DLC packs.
The Last of Us: Remastered too is expected to ship with enhanced graphics, its story-based Left Behind DLC as well as its multiplayer packs which had been launched post-release by Naughty Dog. This game first came out in June last year exclusively for the PS3. Owing to its amazing story, its flawless gameplay and many other factors it managed to grab worldwide critical acclaim which has apparently helped it win over 200 Game of the Year awards.
