Ratchet & Clank: Nexus headed to PS Vita?

It has almost been confirmed albeit unofficially that Ratchet & Clank: Nexus is all set to make a jump onto the PS Vita. This twelfth installment to the overall Ratchet & Clank series was released for the PS3 alone in November this year, but no other version of it has been officially announced by Sony as yet. Developed by Insomniac Games, it reprises the traditional gameplay elements which had made the series so popular back in the day.

Ratchet & Clank: Nexus

As spotted by a NeoGAF user, Ratchet & Clank: Nexus has been rated for the PS Vita by PEGI. The board has awarded an age rating of 7 to this game on the basis of ‘non realistic looking violence towards fantasy characters.’ No word has come from Sony on the matter as yet. And moreover, we don’t even know when this handheld version of the game is due for a release.

Ratchet & Clank: Nexus acts as an epilogue to the franchise’s Future sub-series. This means it’s set after the narratives of Tools of Destruction, Quest For Booty and A Crack in Time, and acts as a conclusion to the arc. This story-driven adventure even stars Captain Qwark, Talwyn, Cronk and Zephyr, apart from Ratchet and Clank of course.

Furthermore, new unique weapons and gadgets which have been a strongpoint for the series through the years have also made their way into the game. Ratchet & Clank: Nexus is available for the PS3 right now through retail as well as via the PS Store. An official announcement about its PS Vita version can be expected to come soon.
