PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Public Beta Coming to Europe in September

The PSN beta site for the European region is currently accepting applications for the much awaited PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale public beta which will be made available between September 11 and September 18, 2012. Only a limited number of applicants will be chosen by Sony, and they will be granted access to the beta on both the PS3 as well as the PS Vita platforms.

All those wishing to participate must register before 12.00pm BST on September 4. Selected gamers will be informed via email, and will be granted voucher codes that will be redeemable on test nights, the information of which will also be provided in the emails. No news is out about yet about any such PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale public beta program for gamers in other regions.

“We will be conducting a limited public beta across both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita platforms between Tuesday 11th September and Tuesday 18th September 2012. Why am I letting you know this, you may ask? We need you! We will be welcoming enrolment for this limited public beta phase until Tuesday 4th September 12.00pm BST. To be in with a chance of being a selected participant, we’ll need you to register interest on the PSN Beta site,” said Gavin Russell – European Producer, SCEE, through a post on the official EU PlayStation blog.

Announced for the first time in April this year, the game is a crossover fighting title featuring characters from various games that were made for Sony’s consoles in the past, just like Nintendo’s much loved Super Smash Bros. series. The latest addition to its roster is Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid series. A special video showcasing the character’s abilities.

As mentioned above, PS3 and PS Vita owners in Europe can register themselves currently on the PSN beta website in order to get into the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale public beta which will run from September 11 and September 18.
