After having made its way to a number of other platforms, PopCap Games’ Bejeweled 3 will finally be arriving on PSN through the latest PS Store update. This new entry to the extremely popular series has been confirmed to feature a number of additions that were not part of the first two titles.

The game will kick in a total of eight modes. These include the Classic mode consisting of regular Bejeweled gameplay, the Quest mode which is claimed to include RPG elements, the Zen mode wherein, gamers can play the title without end, the Lightning mode comprising of fast, time-based challenges and four more unlockable modes.

“You probably already know whether you’re going to buy it or not. And that’s cool. All I can tell you is that if you are a Bejeweled fan, you will not regret it. I promise you. All the new modes are great. I personally didn’t know how much you could vary the formula in ways that would be fun and not too gimmicky, but I’ll be dag-gummed if they didn’t do it,” said Jeff Green, Director of Editorial and Social Media, PopCap Games, on the official PlayStation blog.

It has also been confirmed that twelve trophies and twenty badges will be entering the game, along with high-definition graphics and sounds. This single-player title in the long standing Bejeweled series was first released in December, 2010, and since then, it has made its way to a number of platforms like PC, Mac, XBLA, DS and more.
Pricing for the PSN version of Bejeweled 3 is yet to be revealed, but we’ll be informing gamers about the cost tomorrow.
