Back in November, we had reported that Bejeweled 3, the long expected title of match-3 game series would unveil with featured modes and other inclusions. Now as its release time has ripened, publisher and developer PopCap Games has publicized the title’s immediate availability on its official website and from across various online portals.
The offering offers eight mini-games and a newly revised sound as well as graphics and is reported to be an enormous advancement in the match-3 category triggered by the series’ first title. Presenting with an abundance of new experiences in crystal clear, HD graphics backed up by a mesmerizingly fresh soundtrack, Bejeweled 3 also brings four new ‘secret’ modes for players to deal with in excitingly novel representations of the game’s theme.

Bejeweled 3 enchants players with four brand new modes, Butterflies, Poker, Diamond Mine and Ice Storm, where each one crafts new puzzling strategies to add a remarkable twist to the game. Butterflies has gamers employing their impulsive wits to free the butterfly gems by matching them before they take off from the board, but if these insects manage to reach the top, the spider will win. The second mode Poker enables players to create and score poker hands, the better the hand, higher the points awarded. Earning an ‘outlawed’ hand will limit their luck to a flip of the coin.
For the ones who are earthly bound with an exploratory flair, an adventure into depths of the earth can be embarked upon to unearth gold, artifacts and Hypercubes in the Diamond Mine mode where they can blast gems and tunnel downwards. Although it is a breathtaking experience to uncover the mysteries that lie beneath the earth, players can take a chilling off-time in case it gets too warm in the Ice Storm mode where they get to resist the rising ice floe by matching gems quickly to keep the columns of frost ashore.
