After all the premium DLC packs that have been released for the game over the past months, the Uncharted 3: Game of the Year Edition comes as a welcome surprise to those who’re yet to purchase the game. Along with a copy of the critically acclaimed title, this bundle will also kick in added content released for its multiplayer.
The GotY edition of the cinematic shooter has only been announced for Europe so far. The existence of a North American version of the same is yet to be disclosed. Added content which will be comprised in it includes three Classic skins packs, totally amounting to 25 different skins. Moreover, the two Flashback map packs, which contain multiplayer maps designed around the environments from previous Uncharted titles, will also make their way into the GotY edition.
Phil Lynch, European Product Manager, SCEE, wrote on the official PlayStation blog, “Greetings PS Bloggers. We’ve very happy to announce the release date of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Game of the Year Edition as 19th September 2012. Developed exclusively for PlayStation 3 by Naughty Dog, the Game of the Year Edition combines Nathan Drake’s third critically acclaimed adventure, with additional pieces of multiplayer DLC, handpicked by the team for the release.”
The Drake’s Deception map pack which came out in April this year, also forms part of this bundle. Lastly, the Fort co-op adventure pack, co-op Shade Survival mode and the Doughnut skin pack, are the other additions to this collection.
The Uncharted 3: Game of the Year Edition will be released in Europe for the PS3 on September 19, 2012. Sony hasn’t officially mentioned its price yet, but Amazon UK is listing it at 24.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 2,190).
