Gravity Rush Releases for PS Vita This Week

Gravity Rush, which has been grabbing rave reviews ever since its Japanese launch, will finally be released for the PS Vita in North America this week via retail as well as PSN. Another Vita entrant coming tomorrow is the Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection, while two new titles are also arriving for the PS3 in the form of Lollipop Chainsaw and DiRT Showdown.

Gravity Rush allows players to bend gravity and protect the future of a girl named Kat. The second Vita title coming this week is the Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection which includes ports of two past PS2 games – Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. As this collection is also available for the PS3, gamers will be allowed to save their data across both platforms.

Lollipop Chainsaw tells the story of a zombie hunter named Juliet Starling, who’s on her way to uncover the root of a huge zombie outbreak with a chainsaw in her hands. DiRT Showdown, which has already landed in Europe and India, is a spin-off to Dirt 3′s gymkhana competition. It offers three modes focused on off-road driving and destruction.

On the PSN front, PulzAR is a new augmented reality game coming to the PS Vita. This title will make use of the handheld’s AR cards and involve gamers in protecting the Earth by blasting asteroids with rockets. Other previously released content making its way to PSN this week includes Batman: Arkham City, Babel Rising and the PS Move-compatible Just Dance 3. Gamers will also be able to grab free demos of Escape Plan and Gravity Rush for the PS Vita and Jam Live Music Arcade for the PS3.

Gravity Rush which highlights this week’s PlayStation releases will be priced at 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,218).
