After teasing the Uncharted 3 co-op Shade Survival DLC with a screenshot last month, Naughty Dog has taken to the official PlayStation blog to announce crucial details about this content. The new mode is all set to contain a total of eight rounds which will encourage gamers to display their skills in team strategy and coordination.
The Uncharted 3 co-op Shade Survival DLC is haunted by the Djinn, and will comprise many waves of progressively demanding opponents. These Djinns possess the ability to catch fire and teleport, while in the latter rounds they will even be equipped with extra armor and firepower. Gamers will be rewarded with cash which they can use to level up more quickly. New medals and round objectives would also form part of this mode. For instance, the Marked Man round objective will be seen making its debut in an Arena setting, and will have a certain marked Djinn being heavily protected by other Djinn bodyguards.
Eric Monacelli, Community Strategist, Naughty Dog, wrote on the blog, “By now you’ve become a badass at being a dependable teammate while taking out enemies trying to kill you in Uncharted 3 multiplayer, right? Not really? Okay, then practice up because a new game type is coming in fiery hot to Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception multiplayer. Co-op Shade Survival Mode will be available Tuesday, March 13 on PlayStation Store. You’ll be able to tackle some of the toughest enemies in the Uncharted franchise with the help of your friends.”
This will be the thirteenth Fortune Hunters’ Club DLC to be released by Naughty Dog. And the next one, which is slated for an April launch, will be the final content to be outed under this program. Gamers can still purchase the membership through PSN and avail of a 60 percent overall discount on each of the DLCs.
The Uncharted 3 co-op Shade Survival DLC will be released through PSN on March 13, and will be made available for free to Fortune Hunters’ Club subscribers. For others, it will retail at 5.99 USD (approx. Rs. 300).
