Naughty Dog claims this its biggest patch ever, and it is live now on the PSN for Uncharted 3 with a host of added features that include 50 Trophies, a Tournament mode as well as micro-transactions. The developer had announced this update last month, but these new features were revealed only yesterday.

Firstly, Naughty Dog has disclosed that new chunks of DLC will be released for the game starting August 14. A glimpse of this content can be grabbed in the first video we’ve posted below. These items will be unlockable by earning certain in-game achievements, completing specific treasure sets or purchasing on the PSN. In total, over 137 items will be available to be acquired by playing the game or via micro-transactions.

“When we announced Uncharted 3 we set out to make the multiplayer component as robust and compelling as any other multiplayer game out there. We took lessons from our summer beta and the Subway Taste for Adventure and used them for our launch. Since launch, new design ideas and community feedback have been applied to every patch we’ve released. Our newest patch is lucky number 13, and we’ve planted some fresh ideas deep into the game,” Eric Monacelli, Community Strategist, Naughty Dog, mentioned on the official PlayStation blog.

With the new Tournament system, gamers will be granted ten tickets each week for jumping into online tournaments. Points won in such competitions will help them to achieve certain rewards. And those who want more than ten tickets per month will also have the option of buying them via the PSN. Moreover, experimental block mesh maps have been announced for the game. They will be coming to The Lab in the future.

A number of other elements form part of the Uncharted 3 patch 1.13. These can be seen in the video above.
