NHL 13 PS3 Bundle coming to Canada on September 11

Hockey and PlayStation 3 fans in Canada have reason to rejoice as Sony has partnered with Electronic Arts to bring an NHL 13 PS3 bundle to the North American country. The bundle is expected to save buyers about 60 dollars on the maximum suggested retail pricing of its individual constituents. It will touch down on September 11, the same day the game is made available in the region.

Just as expected, the NHL 13 PS3 bundle will include a copy of the EA Sports game as well as a PlayStation 3 system with a 320GB hard drive. Over and above this, it will come with a one-month trial of PlayStation Plus, Sony’s premium subscription service which offers things like discounts on purchases, early access to demos, online storage for game saves and priority beta invites in addition to full game trials.

A post on the official PlayStation blog by PlayStation Canada’s Janine Smith reveals the pack and says it comes during the ‘favorite time of year for Canadians,’ hockey season that is. The video game itself is pushed as the ‘biggest innovation for the franchise in six years,’ and comes with True Performance Skating which is basically a new physics-based skating engine.

A few other additions to the game include an improved rating system, better trade logic between AI GMs and players, a revamped design for Hockey Ultimate Team as well as refined goalie controls and a system which makes in-game experiences more real. The NHL 13 PS3 bundle will be made available on the coming Tuesday for a price of 299.99 dollars.
