Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken to Release on PSN

PS3 gamers looking for some platformer action can start saving money for Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken which is coming to PSN either late this year or in early 2012. Interestingly, the game can be played on optional stereoscopic 3D mode which runs at full 60fps and 720p, as mentioned in a post on the PlayStation blog.

Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken

The city of Albatropolis has been laid claim on by the coercive Penguin regime. And Hardboiled Chicken is the last ray of hope for the residents. Gamers must hound and kill Putzki who is the corrupt leader of the Penguins. Apart from killing those creatures, users can solve puzzles, incite revolutions, and also fly with the help of jetpacks.

“We’ve had a lot of fun putting Rocketbirds on the PS3. The available power has allowed us to vastly improve on the controls, visuals, and gameplay over the first game. For the visuals, you can look forward to expressive characters and rich, detailed environments. All running at 60fps and 720p,” shared, Sian Yue Tan, Producer and Studio Head, Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken.

A stereoscopic 3D mode for a non-scrolling platformer may sound inane but Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken nevertheless gives users the option for the same. Every screen of the title has been sculpted in full 3D while also adding in adequate enough scroll, depth, and parallax to ‘impress’ gamers. Starting today the game will be displayed as a preview demo exclusively to visitors of the San Diego Comic-Con.

Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken is expected to come out on the PSN towards the end of 2011 or in early 2012.
