As we reported last month, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection which is a bundle featuring two successful PS2 games re-mastered for the PS3 is gearing up for a release this September. The developer had earlier announced the bonus content that gamers would receive on purchase of the two games. And it was only yesterday that it unveiled a detailed list of all the benefits which buyers of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection would get.
Gamers who are thinking of purchasing the bundle can look forward to a considerable amount of video content which will be incorporated on the disc. This includes early concept and prototype video montages of both the games. An early concept video of NICO, an intended game which was later turned into Shadow of the Colossus is also supposed to feature on the disc, as announced on the PlayStation blog.
Apart from that, gamers can also get a sneak peek into a 20+ minute round-table discussion between Fumito Ueda (creator), Kenji Kaido (producer) and Junichi Hosono (designer). Along with new footage of Last Guardian, the disc will also include a 12-minute behind-the-scenes video shot in SCEI offices in Japan. Interviews with key production staff members about the making of ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian are incorporated into this video.
Additionally, a total of 16 trophies for ICO and 31 for Shadows of Colossus will be loaded into the bundle. Both games are supposed to be rendered in full HD and stereoscopic 3D. The re-release will also add 7.1 surround sound to both the titles.
Gamers will be able to enjoy all this content on their PS3 systems if they purchase ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection when it releases on September 27.
