Limbo Finally Arrives on PSN

A few weeks back, we had reported that Playdead was indeed developing their acclaimed Xbox 360 title for the PS3 and PC. And now here is the confirmation. Playdead announced on the PlayStation blog recently that Limbo can soon be downloaded on the PS3 through PSN. The game’s website also confirms a Steam release for PC.

Limbo was released on Xbox Live last year and this year, its PS3 and PC releases will collide with its birthday. The developers, it seems have been receiving requests to deliver the soundtrack of the game online too. From today the game’s soundtrack will be available for download on iTunes.

Dino Patti, CEO and Co-founder, Playdead, commented on the blog, “…we hope everyone will enjoy the game and the little extra secret we have in store for you..,” perhaps indicating some exclusive PS3 content for the title.

The PSN release date for Limbo in the U.S. is July 19, 2011 while for Europe, it is July 20. Dates for Japan and Asia are yet to be announced. The game will also see a Steam release for PC on August 2, 2011.
