Notable new features to the game include a fresh collision system, advanced defensive A.I. enhancements and the addition of custom playbooks. The final title, to be released later this month, is touted to embrace more than 100 new features and enhancements in its franchise mode and also a progression system that allows fans to control the growth of their star in Superstar mode.

In Driver: San Francisco, it is revealed that both Tanner and Jericho have survived the shootout that took place at the end of Driv3r. Charles Jericho has now landed in San Francisco and this spells trouble for the city. Tanner is the only man who can halt his progress.
