Madden NFL fans can brace themselves to relive the excitement of last season’s NFC Championship game as the latest demo edition of the title will feature an exhibition game between Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears and will be played at Soldier Field. Madden NFL 12 demo will be made available on August 9, 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
This indicates that by default settings, users will get to play a full-length of the game. Each quarter would last five minutes each instead of the usual two minutes. In this way, there will be chance for teams to get more than one possession. This week’s big news was that the disputes in the NFL were solved and eventually the lockout was lifted. This came as a breather to gamers who wanted their star players to feature in the game.
Also, developers have confirmed that all the transactions and transfers which would be happening prior to the release of the game will be included in the title. “We will provide a full downloadable roster update at launch that will reflect all the various free agency changes,” read an official Twitter update by EA.
Through the demo, players will be able to get a sneak peak at all the new traits that have been added to the game. These include onside kicks which can be executed from standard kickoff formation. Furthermore, player attributes will keep changing as the game progresses. And, there are Hot and Cold Streaks that will affect player ratings throughout the season.
The Madden NFL 12 demo will be made available on August 9 while the actual game is slated for an August 30, 2011 release. It can currently be pre-ordered for both Xbox 360 and PS3 at a price of 59.99 USD (approx Rs. 2,645). A special Hall of Fame edition costs 89.99 USD (approx Rs. 3,968) for both consoles.
