In what looks like a clear-cut bid to counter Xbox Live’s Summer of Arcade program, Sony announced yesterday its new annual event called PSN Play which proffers gamer with exclusive promotional deals on select titles. A total of four games along with a bonus title will be on offer this time round. The program will start taking pre-orders from August 9, 2011.
Along with every solitary title purchase on the PS Store, gamers will get a DLC for the respective titles. Moreover, if they pre-buy the same, they shall be rewarded with a free theme for their PS3 systems. But the chief bargain which this program is putting forward is that gamers who buy all the four available Play titles from the PS Store will get a voucher code for Payday: The Heist as a bonus gift.
Plus subscribers too have incentives in store for them. They will be receiving a 20 percent discounts on all the titles. This year’s line-up of games includes Street Fighter III Third Strike Online Edition, The Baconing, BloodRayne: Betrayal, and Renegade Ops.
Street Fighter III Third Strike Online Edition can be bought from August 23. Next up is the action-RPG title The Baconing. It will be available for purchase from August 30. BloodRayne: Betrayal and Renegade Ops will be offered from September 6 and September 13 respectively. Gamers who want to buy Payday: The Heist separately can do so when it pre-orders start on September 20.
All four earlier mentioned games will cost 14.99 USD (approx Rs. 670) each through the PSN Play program. Payday: The Heist would be available for pre-sales at a price of 19.99 (approx Rs. 894).
