In an announcement which spells nothing but excitement to fans of the popular franchise, Insomniac Games confirmed that Resistance 3 has gone gold which means that the title has been delivered to manufacturing and is ready for its September 6 release date. The developer also declared on the PlayStation blog, the list of bonus content that would be featured on the game disc.
Buyers of the Resistance 3 game will be treated with extra goodies like access to playable PlayStation demos of Killzone 3, MotorStorm Apocalypse (2D and 3D) and inFamous 2. Trailers and developer videos of games such as Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Starhawk, God of War: Origins and SOCOM 4 will also be included in the pack.
Moreover, movie trailers too would be added to the disc. Apart from that, music videos of artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Incubus, Foo Fighters, and AC/DC will feature in the pack.
The title is currently running a public beta which for now is open only to gamers who had earlier purchased specially marked packages of SOCOM 4. Come August 23, and PS Plus members will get a chance to dive into the beta.
The developer has also announced that there shall be additional ways to get into the game in the future. This multiplayer beta comprises two maps. Gamers can experience two of the five multiplayer modes that are supposed to be incorporated in the final game.
 
The Resistance 3 PS3 is now available for pre-order from major retailers and is priced at 59.99 USD (approx Rs. 2,651). Its Doomsday Edition which includes several PS Move accessories is available at 149.99 USD (approx Rs. 6,628).
