Fans still associate the Nintendo 64 with its multi-coloured controllers. More recently, the Xbox 360 has experimented with different hued game controllers. Now, according to Engadget, the DualShock 3 controller will be available in the ‘Deep Red’ and ‘Metallic Blue’ colours. PS3 controllers are already available in the standard black, silver and white colours.
Apparently eager gamers in America are completely for the new coloured controllers. Combine them with the white controller and you have the three colours that make up their national flag aka ‘the red, white and blue’. On a lighter note, maybe the controllers might be a hit in Britain, Canada and France since their national flags also have the same colour combination.
The ‘Deep Red’ and ‘Metallic Blue’ coloured DualShock 3 controllers are expected to be out in the market by this October. No prices or exact dates have been announced yet. The PSP hand-held gaming device is already available in similar red and blue shades.
