The Punisher: No Mercy to hit PSN, says Zen Studios

The Punisher is an iconic comic book character, first introduced in 1974. The vengeful vigilante antihero has even made his way over to the movie and games industry. Earlier we reported that The Punisher: No Mercy game would release on the PSN this spring. Now, Zen Studios has announced that the game will be exclusively available from the PlayStation Store this July.

For comic and shooter fans alike, this is a must-have game for the summer”, stated Zsolt Kigyossy, Managing Director for Zen Studios.

Powered by Unreal Engine 3, No Mercy is well equipped to deliver fast-paced online multiplayer FPS action. Players can choose from a variety of characters ranging from Punisher allies to dreaded villains. The battle arenas include the birthplace of the Punisher’s nemesis, Jigsaw, and shipyards laden with contraband. There is also an online mode in addition to a single player story mode.

The Punisher: No Mercy, developed by Zen Studios, will be released exclusively on the PlayStation Network on July 2, 2009 and priced at USD 9.99 (approx. Rs. 485). Marvel Comics artist Mike Deodato has provided artwork for the game.
