LittleBigPlanet Will Be a Hardware Seller, says Sony

Besides Metal Gear Solid 4, there is one game that Sony hopes will further power the sales of the PS3. That game is known as LittleBigPlanet and unlike MGS 4, it is targeted at every age group. Now Eric Fong, who was involved in making the LBP, has pointed out that the game will be a hardware seller.

LittleBigPlanet

Speaking with news website GamesIndustry.biz at Comic-Con 2008, Eric Fong, the associate producer of LittleBigPlanet explained, “It is going to be a hardware seller. Not only do you have the platforming experience that a lot of other games will have, you have this creativity that really is exclusive to LittleBigPlanet.”

According to Eric Fong, their target audience is everyone. He mentioned that the game has enough complexity, which will make people not only play it but also enjoy it for many hours. The producer also said that whatever can be seen in the developer levels cane be made by the users.

As for the user generated content in the LittleBigPlanet, last month, Sony had clarified that the content will be free at launch.
