Lots of things has been said about LittleBigPlanet, a game that Sony hopes will be a hardware seller and will push the sales of their current generation console, the PS3. Now Shuhei Yoshida from Sony Computer Entertainment has said that LittleBigPlanet will be their biggest game of the year.
Shuhei Yoshida is the president of SCE Worldwide Studios. He told gaming blog VG247, “LittleBigPlanet is going to be the biggest title for Sony in all markets this year. History tells us how difficult it is for games developed in Europe or in the US to be successful in Japan, and with this generation we see Japanese consumer supporting more and more games coming from western Europe.”
The SCE boss pointed out that it is enormously important for them as LittleBigPlanet has so many things that it is doing right in their minds. Yoshida said that the game was showing the way the whole industry will be heading. Sony is really betting big on LittleBigPlanet as they were apparently planning to make Sackboy the new face of the PS3.
