PlayStation Experience

One of the most interesting things that we have noticed about gaming is that everything it is still in the nascent stage but all that is about to change. Numerous events related to video games are taking place in India. Today we were at Taj Land’s End checking out Sony’s consoles at the PlayStation Expo.

Though Sony’s main aim is to provide the PlayStation Experience, they used this event to launch new models of their gaming products. Just a few weeks ago, we had reported that the 40GB PS3 would be out by December 2007. Well, today at the PlayStation Expo, SCE Country Manager Atindriya Bose announced the launch of the 40GB PS3 in India. It will cost Rs. 24, 900.

Overall Sony did a good job with the PlayStation Expo. The sets were designed in a very innovative way. There were zones dedicated to Sports, Speed Action and Shooting. There was also the Gaming Dungeon as well as Buzz World. We also got to play games such as Drake’s Fortune, Ratchet & Clank as well as Medal of Honor: Airborne. The way they had created the sets was just amazing. The PSP set was made up to look like a BEST stop, while the FIFA 08 set was in a goal post. The shooting zone had walls and sacks of sand as well as seating with camouflage cover.

SCEI has gone a long way to make the event a very special one and tonight they have invited Robert Miles to perform. The PlayStation Experience will also be there tomorrow, so make sure you go and check out the game consoles as well as the new games.
