EA Announces The Sims 3 Generations Expansion Pack

EA seems all geared up to take their simulation franchise to the next level, offering a life-long journey through an upcoming add-on. The company has divulged that The Sims 3 Generations Expansion pack is currently being crafted for a spring release. Supplementing the already available narratives, this pack will enable gamers to cover a journey of a lifetime from childhood, teen years and ultimately adulthood.

With the arrival of this expansion pack, gamers can immerse in an expansive world as a toddler, teenager and member of other age groups. The game has been designed to facilitate enthusiasts play treehouse by selecting from amongst the three themed options namely the space rocket, wooden shack or princess. Players can also experience the whims and fancies of teen years followed by wedding dazes and midlife crises into their Sim characters’ adulthood.

“The Sims 3 Generations includes new gameplay experiences and content that our community has been requesting for years including bunk beds, expansive weddings, midlife crises and more,” elucidated Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio at EA. “Imagine booby trapping a friend’s toilet or turning your imaginary friend into a real person, throwing bachelor or bachelorette parties, all to spend your elder Sims years reminiscing about the past.”

It has been revealed that the newly announced pack will allow gamers to interact in a multitude of ways as their Sim characters. As players climb the age ladder, they can record and share their memories with friends either through the game’s official website or Facebook. The in-game cameras as well as the upload and share system are said to come handy for the purpose.

The series’ official website has stated that The Sims 3 Generations Expansion pack will be available on May 31, 2011.
